About the role

We continue to experience growth and are looking for an experienced Manager to join our Business Advisory team in the Brisbane office. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of projects/client relationships, including the achievement of revenue/profit objectives, in addition to providing technical knowledge, training and direction to those in the team to ensure quality and timeliness of delivery.
Reviewing financial statements for all entity types.
Monitoring overall teamwork-in-progress and performance to budget
Coaching supervisors and seniors in the management of staff e.g. the delegation of client work, monitoring budgets and lodgement deadlines, and overall work-flow
Developing and imparting technical knowledge through training
Team performance reviews, including the development and achievement of personal development goals
Maintaining a high level of understanding of your clients’ businesses as well as current issues affecting clients; demonstrating a good commercial judgement and knowledge
Attracting and retaining clients in a proactive, innovative and progressive manner that broadens our client base
Proactively contributing to innovation within the business unit
Participate in professional development activities to stay up to date with industry trends and changes in accounting standards.
Desired Skills and Experience
About you
Qualification(s) and/or professional accreditation(s) in a relevant discipline such as Business/Commerce, Accounting, or Finance
CA or CPA qualified
Demonstrated and proven professional experience in business and tax advisory within a public practice setting
Professional, client-focused, and invested in developing into a trusted business advisor
Proven experience in supervising and leading a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment
Excellent prioritisation, attention to detail, time management, and organisational skills with the ability to adapt in high-pressure situations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax concepts in a clear and concise manner
Experienced in Xero, MYOB, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
