Job Description

What you'll do:

  • Prepare financial statements, income tax returns, and general-purpose reports for various entities and industries
  • Conduct tax research and handle general tax administration tasks, including GST, PAYG, BAS, and IAS preparation
  • Service a diverse client base, resolving issues and addressing individual client needs
  • Perform journal adjustments, reconciliations, and supporting work papers for clients' accounts
  • Experienced in Xero, MYOB, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Financial modelling & forecasting experience
  • Supervise and mentor a team of junior accountants, providing guidance, support, and training as required
  • Participate in professional development activities to stay up to date with industry trends and changes in accounting standards

Desired Skills and Experience

What you'll bring:

  • Qualification(s) and/or professional accreditation(s) in a relevant discipline such as Business/Commerce, Accounting, or Finance
  • CA or CPA qualified
  • Proven experience in supervising and leading a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment
  • Demonstrated professional experience in business and tax advisory within a public practice setting
  • Professional, client-focused, and invested in developing into a trusted business advisor
  • Excellent prioritisation, attention to detail, time management, and organisational skills with the ability to adapt in high-pressure situations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax concepts in a clear and concise manner
